I miss running errands with you. I miss watching you lift weights. I miss you playing jokes with other officers. I miss you at church. I miss you playing with our kids. I miss our family movie nights. I miss making you happy with chicken wings. I miss you calling me to check on me. I miss having a reason to tell the kids to be quiet because you're sleeping. I miss watching cop reality shows with you. I miss watching you leave in uniform. I miss hearing your truck as you pulled in the driveway. I miss you running next to me. I miss you sleeping next to me. I miss sharing my Cold Stone ice cream with you. I miss stealing your chocolate.

Not a day goes by that we don't think of you, the kids or Tate. To think that it has been 2 years since Tate had to leave is just unbelievable. Please know that you are in our hearts and prayers.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

To your family: I understand the meaning of lives forever altered, and know that the hurt of losing a beloved never goes away...the pain and pride are forever. I pray for your solace. Christy, your love for Tate radiates in your reflections and I know you and kids miss him each and every day. To Tate's parents, losing a child is surely one of life's greatest sorrows and it is a physical ache that is always present, but I know each memory is like a precious jewel. To his friends, thank you for being such a strong support system for his family...that is such a blessing and you are honoring your brother when you care for his family.

well tate it saturday night 0220 hrs i was talking to some officers from phoenix about you i was laughing and remembering you and then i realized it saturday night and i wished you had called and asked me if i was coming to church in the morning maybe you did it was just wasnt on my phone i miss you my friend i think about you often i went by the place on schultz where u almost shot my guard and i chuckle or stop at albertson and i circle the parking lot and stop at your spot my dear friend I GUESS WHAT I AM SAYING I MISS U MY FRIEND

Your baby girl is 12 years old today. I remember paging you at work because my water broke. She is growing up to be beautiful and smart. She has lots of friends because she is very sweet. I remember the first shooting you were in on her 5th birthday. One of the officers dropped off a tea set for her so that she would have a good day in spite of the circumstances. The officers still take care of us like that. Our kids are very special to them.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY buddy i think of you often keep watching over christie and the kids she is very strong lady and your childrden are remarkable but even the strong grow tired and weak so help her and give her the strength she needs to go on. Tate and I met during an operation that lasted almost 6 months in the Casa Grande area. He touched my life in a way few have ever in the past. To know Tate was to know there is a loving Heavenly Father. Tate inspired those around him to live life to the fullest and to appreciate the little things that are sometimes over looked. Our conversations would always begin with "How's your family?" He loved his wife and children more than anything in this life. He made a difference in his short mortal existence. I am a better husband, father, friend and officer because I was blessed to cross Tate's path. Thank you Tate for your example. Derek

Merry Christmas, Sweetheart! While we celebrate the fact that God sent His Son here to earth, you are in His presence. You have seen the angels that we read about in the Christmas story. Amazing! Even though I wish you were here with us, I know that you are experiencing what we were designed to experience. When I miss you the most, God sends me a sign that He loves me and watches over me.

Dear Tate: I had the honor of meeting your loving father and mother two weeks ago at C.O.P.S. Parents Retreat. They quickly found that they were surrounded by parents who understood their broken hearts. It was wonderful watching their faces start to shine and to know that they are not alone in their grief. They take such pride in your accomplishments. You were blessed to have such a wonderful family who miss you so much and yet let their Faith and Love of God shine forth to serve others.

It is hard to believe it has been a year since you died. I often tell Robin when something reminds me of you. I am now a full-time firearms instructor at the Academy. You would absolutely love this slot. We often talked about how amazing it was that someone would pay us to do what we love. Well, I am back doing what I love. Each day I lead a training scenario, I think of you and try to make the training that much safer for the guys. Know that you are missed by many. Rest In Paradise. See you soon.

Sgt. Lynch served proudly and was deeply loved and respected by those who
knew him. It is a tragedy to lose him. We never know when our lives on this
earth will end, but we can make a reservation in Heaven now and assure us a
place when God calls us to Himself. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life
(John 14:6) and He PAID the price for our sins on the Cross so we don't have to pay the penalty for our sins. Yipee! If we accept His payment by faith we can have salvation and spend eternity with Him in Heaven. It is not something we must earn, it is a gift. The most precious one we can ever receive. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith_and this not from yourselves, it is the GIFT of God_not by good deeds, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2: 8,9. For without faith, it is impossible to please God. And our faith must be in God's only Son, Jesus Christ.
You were a credit to the uniform, Sgt. Lynch. My heart goes out to your
loved ones left behind and may the Lord comfort them as only He can. St.

well it has been a year since u left this world and there has not been a day where i dont remember u especially on the nights we would both work and i would call u and we would just chat or how we would go shooting occasionally and we would get out there and do drills i learned so much from u and riding with you was always interesting but i sure do miss u though sunday school just doesnt seem the same without u anymore well i know your teaching in the best sunday school there is i will talk to u later my friend

Tate,

I am taking the kids to the Grand Canyon tomorrow for the anniversary of your death. I remember our family trip that we took in Feb. 2007. It was such a beautiful day and we had such a wonderful time together as a family. We're going to hike down to Ooh Aah point on the Kaibab trail where we hiked then. One of my favorite pictures is of you sitting out on that rock looking over the edge. We have a great famiy picture there too. It's going to be sad to be there without you, but I'm glad that we can celebrate your life and remember you with family and friends in a special place.

I miss you so much. I never knew that my heart could ache as much as it has this last year. I don't think the tears will ever end. You are missed by so many people. I saw the SWAT team yesterday and you could tell how much they miss you just by looking at their faces. Everyone here is taking such good care of us, but I wish you were still here to take care of us. No one can ever replace you. You have left a huge hole here, but at the same time your memory and legacy are bigger than life. The kids talk about you a lot and they miss all the things you used to do with them.

We can't believe that it has almost been a year since Tate has left us all. We think of you and the kids continually. We hope you know how much we treasured the time we were able to spend with all of you while you were in Holbrook. We were both very touched by the outpouring of love from the community (far and wide) that was shown when Tate passed. Although Tate has left us here on earth, we know that you have your own heavenly inspired angel to watch over you all.
