I remember it as if was yesterday, when i heard the news, i was heart broken, even though i was fairly young at the time but i do remember meeting SGT. Lynch almost a month earlier at Casa Grande's annual Anti- Crime night. He was at the swat booth with a smile big as could be, he truly loved this career, a career I'm just starting as an Explorer, and although I have now been living in Wyoming since November of 2009, my heart is still with SGT. Lynch and his family, friends, and the Casa Grande PD.

Although I now live in Wyoming, my heart still lives on in Casa Grande, Arizona where it belongs.

Rest In Peace SGT. Tate A. Lynch

It's hard to believe its been 7 years. You've left a void in our hearts that will never be filled. Here's a little something I wrote for you.

Whole Again

I received a phone call that you were injuried in a fall

But I do not worry for our God will make you whole again

I sat in the waiting room with countless friends as we waited to hear some news

But I do not worry for I know our God will make you whole again

I sit and wait with brothers in blue and friends from all over that love you

But I do not worry for I know our God will make you whole again

Your dad walked in and told us the news and in disbelief I cried as I heard the truth

For our God our God has taken you home and made you Whole Again

I miss you friend,

J.R.

Tate,
It has been five years brother. It seems like only yesterday. I still remember exactly where I was when I heard the news. Devastated can't describe the feeling. I know you now sit in Heaven with our Lord and Savior. You are not forgotten. Always missed. In Valor There Is Hope.

Five years has come today and tears still fall. You weren't suppose to die, at the most you should have had a hurt tail bone. On that day I drove to the hospital in disbelief and even today I can't begin to understand why. I miss praying with you at the beginning of shift. I miss our meetings in the middle of the night. I miss you but not nearly as much as your wife and kids miss you.

Hey Tate, it has been a while since I have talked to you. I remember sitting in your briefings when you would tell us to be prepared becuase we never know what life is gonna throw our way and wow you were so correct. Not a day goes by that I dont think of you and the lessons you taught me about being a dad, frined, son, sibling, husband, police officer and most importantly a christian.

Thanks for all the lessons you taught me brother, I miss you and I will talk to you soon.

It should be noted that Officer Lynch was an organ donor. As one of the recipients of his and his family's kindness, I want to say thank you to him and all who knew and loved this exceptioal man. I would not be here if not for his heroism...

Tate,
Was thinking about you today. Robin and I are moving to DC. I will be working with our Use of Force Policy Division. Christie said she would like us to meet her in May for the Memorial. I am going to do my best to get there. Know you are missed always. I will continue to try to make the training as safe as possible for the guys, in remembrance of you. See you soon.
