Jaason: May you Rest in Peace. You are now with God and St Michael the Archangel. They needed another Officer in their Kingdom. Your Grandfather( a retired Police Officer)mentioned it at Mass this morning. Know that you and your Family are now and forever will be in our prayers.
Well done, good and faithful servant, now you can rest in Heaven and Peace.

To all of Deputy Mooney's loved ones - the loss of one so young and so brave who gave all he had for his country hurts us all a little more than normal. My heart goes out to Deputy Mooney's fiancee, and I hope she has loved ones to support her, and a strong heart to go on, and never let anyone forget his sacrifice for them.
When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me, and I"m not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me,
I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things we didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me to;
But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand,
And said my place was ready, in heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye,
For all life, I'd always thought, I didn't want to die.
I had to much to live for, so much yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible that I was leaving you.
So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me, I'm right here, in your heart.

Although my wife and I are not officers, my twin brother was Deputy Mooney's 1st Seargent. Over the years we have grown very close to many at the Stafford Sheriff's Office and have always thought of them as family. We didn't have the good fortune to know Jason as well as some of the others, but he seemed like a very good man and my brother John had nothing but great things to say about him. His loss is devastating to the McAlister family and our thoughts and prayers will be with his family and fiancee.

I am so saddened to see such a young and fine looking man succumb to his injuries for this accident. He appeared to be a very responsible and good looking man and officer. It is always the good that die young, and God in His mercy has this fine officer in His Hands. God keep his family and fiancee at this terrible time. My prayers are with you all.
