and if its wasnt for officers like you we would never learn all we needed to learn thinks that we would carry in for the rest of our life and for that i want to thank you
and i would always be greatful to officers like your self that take the time to allow us to come out and patrol with you and your peers so we could follow the path that we need to continue on a law enforcement career. I HAD THE HONOR AND PRIVILEGE TO WORK WITH OFFICER SCOTT BELL EVEN IF IT WAS FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. DURING MY TIME OF WORKING WITH SCOTT I GOT TO REALLY KNOW SCOTT NOT JUST AS A POLICE OFFICER BUT AS A PERSON AS WELL. SCOTT BELL HAD ONE OF THE BEST SENSE OF HUMORS AND ALWAYS SEEMED FULL OF LIFE. HE NEVER COMPLAINED ABOUT HIS DAY TO DAY DUTIES IN HIS JOB. HE WAS A HARD WORKER AND WAS THE TYPE OF OFFICER THAT WOULD MAKE ANY OFFICER HAPPY TO WORK SIDE BY SIDE WITH HIM.DURING CALLS AND WORK HOURS I WAS ABLE TO SPEAK WITH SCOTT QUITE A BIT AND I AM THANKFUL THAT I WAS ABLE TO BE HIS BROTHER IN BLUE. LOSING OFFICER SCOTT BELL WILL NOT BE AN EASY THING TO MOVE PAST BUT WE WILL NEVER FORGET HIM. REST IN PEACE BROTHER SCOTT.

To the family and friends of Officer Bell,

I can truly not imagine what your family must be enduring right now. Although I did not personally know Officer Bell, he, like the other 1800+ members of this department, wear the same colors and it is therefore, a brotherhood. Officer Bell's death was the ultimate price for the risks that we each take every day. May your family find peace in this time of bereavement.

I remember when Scott was first hired and how meticulous he was about the cleanliness of his patrol car. There was much time spent "welcoming" him to our squad and initiating him into this brotherhood that means so much. I can remember how mad he was at the 200 plus crickets we let loose in his front seat, the rocks in his hubcaps, and the tow stickers on the windows. It made me smile to learn a few years later, he was participating in the same antics with new officers on his squad.

Scott brought with him professionalism, insight, integrity and courage on each call he went to. It was an honor working beside you and you will be sorely missed.

"If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded." -- Maya Angelou

Aloha Officer Scott Eric Bell,
Thank you for your service and dedication to your community and your country. You and all officers that continue to lay your lives on the line and pay the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities and country safe, will NEVER be forgotten.

I believe in the ODMP and Police*Link that visionary and Founder Chris Cosgriff created. There is power in the written and spoken word, in prayer, in what is felt in the heart, and in the soul. Every tribute left in honor for a fallen officer, is a candle lit. Every candle lit, lights another.

Every light represents a reflection left by an individual in the form of a tribute which is and always will be, very personal and special to the fallen hero it was left to honor, and to thousands who will read it. Here we are able to come together and build a quilt for our fallen hero. A quilt built from people who share from their hearts in reflections; tributes.

Officer Scott Eric Bell,
I wish you, your loved ones, and your fellow officers peace and love beyond all understanding. Aloha.

**May all who read this tribute find comfort in this Hawaiian prayer left in this hero's honor. You will NEVER be forgotten. May God allow you to rest in His eternal peace.**

THE PEACE OF " I "
KA MALUHIA O KA "I"

Peace be with you, All My Peace,
O ka Maluhia no me oe, Ku'u Maluhia a pau loa,

The Peace that is " I ", the Peace that is "I am".
Ka Maluhia o ka "I", owau no ka Maluhia,

The Peace for always, now and forever and evermore.
Ka Maluhia no na wa a pau, no ke'ia wa a mau a mau loa aku.

My Peace " I " give to you, My Peace " I " leave with you,
Ha'awi aku wau I ku'u Maluhia ia oe, waiho aku wau I ku'u Maluhia me oe,

Not the world's Peace, but, only My Peace,
The Peace of " I ".

A'ole ka Maluhia o ke ao aka, ka'u Maluhia wale no,
Ka Maluhia o ka "I".
