Samantha, I had the honor and pleasure of working with your father in Adams County before went over to the State Patrol. He was a great man, and I think of him often. I still remember the day of his funeral like it was yesterday, how packed the church was with so many officers, deputies, and troopers from all over. He is missed by many.

so tomorrow I am turning 16 and all I can think about is how I wish you were here to see it. It is difficult growing up with just stories. Your mom and dad and me barely talk it's really hard . I really do appreciate all the posts on here they keep your memory alive in ways I can't. I wish you were here to show me the ropes. love you dad. I do have your pictures and I know when I am ready I can have your flag. It didn't really hit me till i was 10 or 11 that you won't sit in the stands at my track races , I won't be able to look up across the table and listen to you sing happy birthday. It gets really hard . I miss you dad .
sincerely, your daughter samantha

Zach,
I miss you little brother. 12 years is too long to be without your wit and humor. You made everyone laugh. This world lost a great Trooper, son, father, brother and friend. I miss our football games , our arguments just you. Your daughter Sam and my Sam would sometimes hang out at games (Sam I hope you are well and I know Zach loves you and is proud of you. He is watching you from above and loves to watch you grow.) We will be arguing and laughing again little brother. Love you brother !!!

Zachary I think about you and I wish you were here. I know that the world would be a better place with you in it. People have never forgotten you and we never will. We love you and I pray that your daughter is doing well and that she knows what a wonderful person you were. It doesn't seem possible that it has been so long ago that you left us it only seems like yesterday. I still recall the ride along you had with me and our conversation about your Dad and your decision you had to make. You had a great big heart and a sweet personality. I loved your smile and you were always such a pleasure to work with. I spoke to your Dad the other day and I remembered how much I miss working with him too. Now I remember where you got it from. You have amazing parents. They were blessed to have you and you them. I know that God is blessed now with you by his side. Love to you my friend. Remembering you today and always.

Officer Templeton tried to save my fathers life in 2005 when a drunk driver hit my father on I-76. I had the honor of meeting officer Templeton days before his passing at the trail for my fathers death and got to thank him for what he did and that I would be forever greatful for his service. This was am amazing man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest in peace.

Hard working like his father. Stand up guy and proud protector of the citizens he served. Hurt to hear the news of his journey to the other side but look forward to seeing him once again. Rest in true peace my brother. You made us all proud and honored to work with you.

Trooper Templeton - You were the first to fall in the line-of-duty after we relocated to Colorado - I was days away from finally retiring after 30 years. Three Fridays ago, on a very rainy morning, I was in the State Assembly chambers when your name was read off as one of the almost 250 others, during a motion regarding this month's Police Memorial week. I stood next to CSP Chief Wolfinbarger who acknowledged the mention of each and every CSP member.
Thank you for your service to the people of Colorado.
May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.
