Our hearts and prayers go to all those you left behind, your family at home and all those in the family of law enforcement. May you rest knowing you died a hero, laying your life on the line to help another, a sacrifice few are willing to make. We also pray for the firefighter that was responding with the same heart and sense of duty Im certain you carried with you. Continue your guard, watch down on those you love from above and keep them safe until the day they are with you again.

"What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal."

Aloha Deputy Sheriff Gary D. McCormack,
Thank you for your service and dedication to your community and your country. You and all officers that continue to lay your lives on the line and pay the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities and country safe, will NEVER be forgotten.

I believe in the ODMP and Police*Link that visionary and Founder Chris Cosgriff created. There is power in the written and spoken word, in prayer, in what is felt in the heart, and in the soul. Every tribute left in honor for a fallen officer, is a candle lit. Every candle lit, lights another.

Every light represents a reflection left by an individual in the form of a tribute which is and always will be, very personal and special to the fallen hero it was left to honor, and to thousands who will read it. Here we are able to come together and build a quilt for our fallen hero. A quilt built from people who share from their hearts in reflections; tributes.

Deputy Sheriff Gary D. McCormack,
I wish you, your loved ones, and your fellow officers peace and love beyond all understanding. Aloha.

**May all who read this tribute find comfort in this Hawaiian prayer left in this hero's honor. You will NEVER be forgotten. May God allow you to rest in His eternal peace.**

THE PEACE OF " I "
KA MALUHIA O KA "I"

Peace be with you, All My Peace,
O ka Maluhia no me oe, Ku'u Maluhia a pau loa,

The Peace that is " I ", the Peace that is "I am".
Ka Maluhia o ka "I", owau no ka Maluhia,

The Peace for always, now and forever and evermore.
Ka Maluhia no na wa a pau, no ke'ia wa a mau a mau loa aku.

My Peace " I " give to you, My Peace " I " leave with you,
Ha'awi aku wau I ku'u Maluhia ia oe, waiho aku wau I ku'u Maluhia me oe,

Not the world's Peace, but, only My Peace,
The Peace of " I ".
