You will be greatly missed brother, may God Bless you and yours. I have many great memories from Hempstead and the MS150 will never feel the same. Yes Jason, you ride Harleys and I chase cows. I pray your sense of dedication, humor, honor and duty pass on to those who follow and in whatever order YOU see fit. You made the difference for many, a change in a few and served all......its up to them now.

Jason and I grew up together in Conroe, TX. We both graduated from Conroe High School in 1987. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and fellow officers. We are advised from a very young age that things happen for a reason, but, being human, we cannot help but ask why. God must have had a need for a good officer and a fine young man. You are in my prayers.

It brings great sadness to my heart to hear another officer has lost his life on a traffic stop. It's a painful reminder of how my son gave his life. His watch ended just as yours did. My heart goes out to your family. May they find the comfort in knowing that they have the support and love from all of your brothers and sisters in blue and you will never be forgotten. Go walk heaven's beat and keep watch over your family, friends, and all of your brothers and sisters at the Harris County Constable's Office.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Deputy Norling, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest
