Reflections for Detective Mario Moreno
Yet again another brave soul gives his life for a great cause. I can hardly stand to see another officer down, but know that we all are in this as a selfless calling, not a hero status.. Well, Detective Moreno has become a fallen hero among many and I wish to honor him and his family by continuing to serve when I am called.
My heart felt prayers are with his family. And as we have suffered the loss of a great man in our area to a lost soul in the not too recent past I share your grief. If we can do anything to help let us know and we will be there.
Like I said.. my most heartfelt condolences and prayers are with his family, friends, and comrades.
RIP Mario, your watch is over and it never was unnoticed the sacrifice you gave.

My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to your wife, two children, family, friends, fellow detectives, entire department, and to the citizens that you gave the ultimate sacrifice for, in serving and protecting. My youngest son is serving in the Air Force, currently working at a hospital on base in San Antonio. I had the pleasure of visitng San Antonio a couple of years ago when he graduated boot camp. So your town has a special place in my heart. I think of your wife and two children, whom like you, I do not know, but of how their hearts must be breaking. Please know, that you will not be forgotten. You all, will always be in my prayers. I know that the angels carried you far up into the heavens above, where as God has you 10-4 forever more in his loving arms. "A Hero does not beomce a Hero by their death, but by how they lived their life." God Bless!
