Reflections for Police Officer Nicki James "Nick" Erfle

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Nick. He was a great guy who deserved much better than this. I went to Alexandria with Nick and became a good friend while we were there. I will never forget getting to know him while we drove back top Fargo twice a week to visit family.

It is always so very sad to hear of the death of another brave officer. I listened just as they were making the announcement of your passing and they spoke very highly of your heroism. I do agree, our Officers are our heroes everyday and when this happens the families become the heroes also, to endure the pain of such a valuable loss of life. Officer Erfle, rest peacefully in the Lords hands and know your tour is done. Gods blessings to your family!

To the wife, children, family, and friends:

And if I go,
While you’re still here---
Know that I live on,
Vibrating to a different measure
--behind a thin veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
So you must have faith.
I wait for the time when we can soar together again,
--both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to its fullest,
And when you need me,
Just whisper my name in your heart,
…I will be there.
