"Bad boys, bad boys whatcha gonna do..." on your computer screen saver of your patrol car
"Howdy ho, neighborette!"
"We named him Colton, so I can call him COLT"
"I smell bacon" When former Temple Ofc Carlile comes out of the house to chat or just coming home.
Dave, thanks for checking up on me just to make sure I was okay. Thank you for helping with the kids while I was overseas and Mike was on his own. Thank you for always having a smile on your face that always made things better no matter what kind of day I was having. You were a great neighbor and a good friend.

Dave you were a regular visitor to this site and you would call me over to view tradegies like yours on a regular basis as you read through the fallen officers, never did I think I would be writing a reflection under your name.
You took great pride in your work and you have made a difference in so many lifes. You are a true hero and you embody the type of life an officer should live. You always had a smile on your face and brought one to mine when I needed it most. You set an example to all officers cause you put your family first and your job second which is often hard to do. You were a great father to Colton and Chris and you were so proud of them. The lifes that you touched through the Housing and CPAT will carry on through many generations. You were a great man, father officer, and a friend. We will all miss you! Thanks for the time we share together.

ITS SOUNDS LIKE THUNDER FAR AWAY...

It sounds like thunder far away, but the skies are blue and bright...
And soon they crest the hill nearby, and ride into our sight.
They shake the ground with powerful sound, and they make some hearts beat fast...
They look so proud and noble, like Knights come from the past.

Side by side, they always ride, and seem to move as one...
From early in the morning light, to the setting of the sun.
And children point and wave to them, from cars that pass them by...
And young ones ask their parents, why the men have mirrors for eyes.

They ride the roads, and fight for good, and defend small ones like you...
They ask to ride, and do with pride, and sometimes they are few.
Like men of steel, on Silver Wings, they sparkle in the light...
then with a roar and rumble, they ride out of our sight.

Sometimes when one has fallen, never to ride again...
You can hear the others calling, like thunder on the wind.
Side by side, they slowly ride, and their thunder is a mournful sound...
And the mirrors hide their eyes from us, when teardrops fall to ground.

So if you see one riding, and you look into his face...
You see your reflection in his eyes, you know that you are safe.
For motormen are a special breed, they love to ride the wind...
And when you hear the thunder boom, the fallen ones ride again.

Rest in peace motorman! You are a true HERO and will never be forgotten!

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Officer Camden, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

David

I still remember when you and Paul were going through the academy together. There was nothing you guys wanted more than to be police officers. I can close my eyes and invision you both standing with such pride awaiting to have you bages pinned on for the first time. Little did I know that you guys becoming police officer would affect are lives in the ways that it has. Being an officer is not a job, its a lifestyle. You lived that life. You made your family, friends, the department and those serving with you proud. Thanks for backing up Paul all these years. I know you will continue to watch over Paul and all the other guys at TPD, but just with a little different view. We are going to miss you. Thanks for bringing a smile to so many faces. You will not be forgotten.

Davo, as I called him, was always there to serve, no questions asked. He lived his life to serve others. He was there on of off duty at the drop of a hat when you needed his help. He always wore a smile and never let his personal problems show or interfere in his work. He was a very special person who cannot be replaced. This community has definitely lost a great person. He received two life saving awards in his career. He was a pleasure to supervise. I will miss you greatly!

Dave, what can I say, I miss you man. I don't have any regrets. I'm happy that we got to have lunch and catch up. We had a good meal, good conversation, and made plans. Sorry we can't do it, but you will always be with me in memory. You always smiled, never complained, and were always there for us, even when you had too many things to do. I will always remember your saying which will bring a smile to my face, " I'm not that kind of beanor" Swirl the thumb my friend, I know you have my back.
