We Remember the Officers
We remember the officers who changed our lives,
The men and woman who protected us day and night,
People who respect for their dedication to the cause,
For when faced with danger, they never even pause.
We remember the officers who always stood true,
Whatever the color of uniform, brown, green or blue,
With pride and integrity they say To serve and protect,
For the giving of their life, we offer our respect.
We remember the officers who we never really knew,
Persons strong enough to answer the challenge are few,
With heavy hearts we mourn the officers in eternal rest,
There's more to these people than the badge on their chest.

Our hearts ache for Officer Jose Somohano’s family, the injured officers and their families and all the Miami -Dade Police Department family. Our department suffered the loss of 3 wonderful officers this past weekend. We know the pain you are suffering and what lies ahead for each of you. You all will continue to be in our prayers . The thin blue line is a little thinner tonight, but stronger than ever before.
Officer Somohano, thank you for the sacrifice you made and your unselfish service. Your actions and dedication will never be forgotten. It is not how you died but rather how you lived your life that makes you the true hero you are. Hero's never die; They just take on new assignments.
For the Somohano family our prayers are with you that you may someday find peace and comfort in the sacrifice your loved one made.
Rest in Peace and may God bless your family, your fellow officers and your community.
