As a fellow motor officer, let me express my condolences to the friends, colleagues, and bereaved family of this noble warrior, who gave his all in the service of justice and freedom. Officer Casey stood for what is right and just among his fellow citizens. The people of Rio Rancho and Albuquerque are all lessened by his passing, yet richer for having him as a servant of the people. Ride on in paradise good soldier, you have earned your reward.

Comrade, friend, brother. Not these words nor any other, in any language, on this or any other world can describe what this man meant to us. Germaine Casey was and will always be the heart and soul that beats behind every vest and every badge worn by every Rio Rancho Police Officer. We thank him with every fiber of our being for his sacrifice. We thank his wife, children, and family for their ultimate sacrifice, they will always have a family in the Rio Rancho Police Department. May we all take comfort in knowing that we now have a backup officer watching us from heaven; every call, every shift, every day that we serve. Every moment spent with you has left a warmth in our hearts and smile on our face. Thank you "Dee Bo," you will be sorely missed. Rest in peace, Brother.
