I have never seen you brother, but I know you. You could have gone down the street and ignored that guy. You did not, you saw something, felt something, you did your job. You were involved, you enjoyed your job. You took pleasure in that once in awhile you got to help someone that really needed it and ocasionally arrest some one that deserved it. That carried you through the boredom, disrespect, routine bull, and occassional fear. You were a Hero every day. Now too young an honored "Died In the Line Of Duty." A hero puts on his uniform and equipemnt goes to work everyday or night even when he does not feel quit so motivated because one of his partners or a citizen might need him. Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held. Rest peace and farewell.

You have such a handsome face. You were brave until the end. You will never be forgotten. You will always be a HERO!!!!!!!for you gave the ultimate sacrifice. I will pray you family finds peace. It's very hard when a loved one is taken away so suddenly. We all know it can happen but we try not to think about it. Rest in peace!!!

A POLICEMAN'S PRAYER
BROTHER WHEN YOU WEEP FOR ME REMEMBER THAT IT WAS MEANT TO BE.
LAY ME DOWN AND WHEN YOU LEAVE REMEMBER I'LL BE AT YOUR SIDE...IN EVERY DARK AND DREARY ALLEY I'LL BE THERE AS YOU SLOWLY TREAD, ON EVERY STREET CORNER IN THE DRIVING SNOW I'LL HOLD YOUR COAT AND YOU WILL KNOW.
IN PLACES WHERE THE DEVIL IS AFRAID TO WALK...
AT DOORS WHERE YOU MEET RESISTANCE...
IN HOUSES WHERE CHILDREN HIDE...
YOU KNOW I'LL BE AT YOUR SIDE.
THE PLACE FROM WHICH I NOW RESPOND IS OVERSTAFFED WITH HEROES GONE...MEN WHO ANSWERED ONE LAST JOB AND DID IT WELL.
AS POLICEMEN WE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A CARD DEALT IN OUR HAND...A CARD WE HOPE WE NEVER PLAY BUT WE HOLD IT THERE ANYWAY.
THE CARD IS SOMETHING WE IGNORE AS WE STAND ON THAT THIN BLUE LINE EVERY TOUR...FOR WE KNOW THAT WE ARE THE ONLY PRAYER FOR MANY OUT THERE.
SO REMEMBER, AS YOU WIPE YOUR TEARS, THE JOY I HAVE KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE YEARS...AS THE JOB I LOVED TO DO I PRAY THAT THIS THOUGHT WILL SEE YOU THROUGH.

Sad but true, an assailants bullet doesnt discriminate as to length of service, age, color or rank. Unfortunately it only sees the badge. Rest in peace my friend.
