Sir,
May you rest easy now with the officers in heaven. To pay the ultimate sacrifice...that makes you another hero to your boys in blue and a saint to the great almighty. Sir, we will now have your watch

My sympathies to Officer Brown's family, colleagues and friends. He was surely too young to die a senseless death. I gladly would have traded places with Officer Brown so that he could have continued his good work. May God watch over him for eternity.

It makes me so angry to hear about another senseless killing of a person who puts their life on the line every day to serve and protect us. Why? Did it really accomplish anything? Did this thug really think that by ending this officer's life that he would avoid whatever responsibility he was trying to escape? I know I am thinking like a rationale human being, but I always ask myself why??? What did this creep gain by pulling the trigtger when compared to how much he is going to lose now that he murdered? And that is nothing compared to what this 22-year old man with his entire life ahead of him has lost...not to mention his family and friends. I'm just so disgusted and so disheartened with my fellow humans right now. It is only focusing on the ultimate sacrifice that Officer Brown made, one he didn't have to make but chose to, that keeps my faith alive. My heart and thoughts go out to you Officer Brown, you are hero.

Rest In Peace Brother. Your time in blue was cut short but that doesn't mean you weren't one of us. You will now continue your watch from above. May all those who go to the top of the Arch know that they are closest to you there and see the city you once served. Life is so precious to have it taken so soon. May God take you under his wing and have you rest with other heroes. My condolences to your family and fellow officers.

To the city of St Louis our deepest sympathies go out to you and the family of Officer Brown. Everyday these Hero's suit up not knowing if they will go home at the end of their shift but do so knowing that there is that possible risk. Those enter into this field with the inentions of making the neighborhood inwhich they live a better place,just as Officer Brown had and unfortunately paid the ultimate sacrifice. The dangers are very real to every officer, be it a small town cop or large city cop therisk are always the same. Thank you for your service Officer Brown and you will be remembered for all that you have accomplished and not just for your death.

TO THE FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FELLOW LAW ENFORCEMRNT OFFICERS:
Safely Home
I am home in heaven, dear ones,
All's so happy, all's so bright!
There's perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief are over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the Valley of the Shade?
Oh, but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade!
And He came Himself to meet me
On the way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus, arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idle stand;
Do your work while life remaineth-
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you home;
Oh, the rapture of the meeting!
Oh, the joy to see you come!
