To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Sgt. Harrison is right now resting in the arms of Jesus.

Family, live a righteous life that you may one day meet him in Heaven.

Ron....My brother, you are at peace now. After my first reflection the day after the tragedy to you I was pretty upset. The Bucaneers that I handle wanted to be at your funeral but I could only have my friend kicker Matt Bryant #3 who met us at graveside. However, I was a dignitary with WWE wrestler Jimmy "The Anvil" Neidhart and American Gladiator Tank-Reggie Biegler. David had us escorted and transported by Deputy Rob. Workman.

There is no greater sacrifice,
Any man will ever see.
Then to have a brave Policeman,
Giving up his life for me.

To all of those who passed away,
I want to be so sure.
Their names will be remembered,
For now, and ever more.

I wish that I could call each one,
By their given name.
To let them know we won't forget,
Their courage and their fame.

They chose this great profession,
And served with all their might.
Not fearing all the danger,
To them each day and night.

Yes, they had picked to walk a path
Where very few have gone,
And now they are protecting,
Heaven, from dust till dawn.

So let's all pray they're happy,
In heaven up above.
While in safety they are doing,
The job they dearly love.

Mr. Harrison, Thank you for everything.. Everything you stand for, everything you are.. Its men like you, who have made me choose the career path I am pursuing.. And I know your in heaven smiling down, and watching over your fellow brothers and sisters, but it doesn't help the pain still left here on earth.. You are a great man, and I pray for you and your family.. Rest In Peace brother

To the Harrison Family,
Your dad is a hero. I too recently lost my dad, on August 5, 2007 while pursuing a vehicle that did not stop for a simple traffic stop. Keep his memory strong, that's what I do. I am praying for your family.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Sgt Harrison, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

Sgt Harrison,

We only met twice. The last time I talked to you was at the D2 office and I was talking to a few deputies; your face was very stern and you took my hand as if to shake it but instead you said "you need better friends." Then you smiled.

Years ago I heard the term "Pyrrhic Victory", I never thought the phrase would become something I actually would see.

The day the deranged murderer that first took your life, and then forced your fellow deputies to take his life was the day I saw history become the present.

It was a Pyrrhic Victory which is a victory that is gained with devasting cost to the victor.

We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Sergeant Harrison and we honor his distinguished service to the cause of justice and peace. Sadly, our nation has lost one of its finest citizens, a community has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage who they will love and respect forever. Today, because of the sacrifice Sergeant Harrison has made, the house of freedom is stronger, sturdier, and more secure.

To the family and friends of Sergeant Harrison, I would like you to know that a lot of people pray for you, and my hope is that their prayers will give you the strength necessary to move on. Just as you were always with him when he walked the beat or patrolled the streets, know that he will always be with you - wherever you may be. In the days to follow, may you be strengthened by the fact that Sergeant Harrison is a man distinguished by exceptional courage and will always be admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. You, your family and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
