The news of this incident leaves me heartbroken , I have known Chuck approx 18 years , although we had similiar professions we had met outside work. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family in this terrible time. May God be with you all and comfort you all.

As if I wasn't already horrified enough what with the two Deputies from our agency that were shot this week, one of which was killed, now I read this....two more veteran officer's lives taken in the line of duty. It can't get any more senseless than this.
My deepest sympathies to your family, your Department, and your friends. I hope that you did not suffer, sir. Godspeed.
