My thoughts and prayers are with Detective Wilson's family, friends , and fellow officers. He passed in the most honorable way , in the line of duty. We should all take a moment to realize how so many officers place their lives on the line for our safety every day. They all need to be respected and appreciated . Heavan's angels are welcoming Detective Wilson with open arms , commending him for a job well done , a life well lived . Although I do not know you personally Detective , thank you for all of the selfless acts of bravery and the many years of service.

We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Detective Wilson and we honor his distinguished service to the cause of justice and peace. Sadly, our nation has lost one of its finest citizens, a community has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage who they will love and respect forever. Today, because of the sacrifice Detective Wilson has made, the house of freedom is stronger, sturdier, and more secure.
To the family and friends of Detective Wilson, I would like you to know that a lot of people pray for you, and my hope is that their prayers will give you the strength necessary to move on. Just as you were always with him when he walked the beat or patrolled the streets, know that he will always be with you - wherever you may be. In the days to follow, may you be strengthened by the fact that Detective Wilson is a man distinguished by exceptional courage and will always be admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. You, your family and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

DETECTIVE WILSON YOU LIKE SO MANY OF US LEFT YOUR HOME FOR WORK TO TRY AND FIGHT FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT FIGHT FOR THEIRSELVES UNFORTUNATELY YOU PAID THE ULTIMATE PRICE TRYING TO WIN THAT FIGHT. YOUR BRAVERY COULDNOT BE REGISTERED ON ANY SCALE OR MATCHED WITH ANY REWARD. EVERYDAY THAT I GO TO WORK I THINK OF OFFICERS LIKE YOU AND YOUR PARTNER THAT HAVE FALLEN IN THIS STRUGGLE TO PROTECT OTHERS FROM THE EVIL THAT SEEMS TO BE EVERYWHERE WE GO. ITS A WONDER HOW WE ALL CAN GET UP AND DO THIS JOB EVERYDAY,BUT THE THING THAT DRIVES ME TO CONTINUE ARE THE MEMORIES OF MY FALLEN BROTHERS LIKE YOU.

We, too, had the same pain only two short years ago that you are experiencing and it seems totally unbearable. Please know that we are here for you if you need us. We are forever grateful to Detective Wilson for giving the ultimate sacrifice to protect us all. If we can be of any assistance to the family, friends, or co-workers please do not hesitate to contact us through the Franklin Parish Sheriff's Office.
