My deepest sympathies to your family, Chris. You always told me family is always first. You are a true hero in every sense of the word, and you gave the ultimate sacrifice doing what you loved to do. You made me a better cop, as I know you did everyone else who worked under your supervision. You were a role model who led by example, never satisfied to sit behind the desk. I will miss our Friday night talks. The law enforcement community lost a great cop, a great man, and a great friend. We miss you Chris, and may you rest in peace. It's our watch now.

Sarge I had the pleasure of working for you when I first got to Pompano and I will always remember not only what a great Sergeant you were but what a great guy you were. It seems like no matter what we did, you took it in stride and with a smile. You were an inspiration to all of us.... someone to look up to and respect but someone we could laugh with too. I will never forget after hurricane Wilma, while the rest of us were tired and worn out, you were out "hunting" and on-viewing burglaries in progress.
