Trooper Russell, I am deeply grieved to hear of your loss of life at the hands of such a reckless and arrogant murderer. But I am deeply grateful for your many years of selfless service and your costly ultimate sacrifice. You, Trooper are a hero and I will not forget. To everyone involved in catching this Trooper's murderer, thank you ever so much. To Mrs. Russell, you have my deepest sympathies and prayers.
