I am so saddened by this senseless act of violence that was visited upon you. Seeing your mother in tears rushing into the hospital that day is something I will never forget. I don't know what else to say. This has been such a nightmare. I am so sorry this had to happen to you and your family.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host —
by the Divine Power of God —
cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.
