Russel, since I heard of the tragic news of your shooting incident I was praying for you and your partner to make a quick recovery. God had other plans for you though. You took this job when no one else wanted it. You didn't care about the money, you cared about protecting this city. You exemplify what it means to be one of "The Finest!" You will always be a part of the NYPD and always be known as one of "The Finest". Your watch is over here on earth, go now with St. Michael and patrol heavens streets. Keep a watchfull eye on your brother and sister officers here on earth, for we will all meet again at heavens gates.
To Russel's family and friends, The men and women of the NYPD will always be here for you when you need us. You are and always will be a part of our family. Russel is watching over us all knowing that we will meet again.
Fidelis Ad Mortem! RIP Brother!
