NYPD,

I am sorry for your loss. My department had a officer murdered in the line of duty this year and it makes me sick that ignorant people use a gun instead of words. God Bless everyone and keep your NYPD personnel safe.

Our prayers are with Officer Timoshenko's parents and fellow officers as they grieve his senseless loss.

We pray swift justice for his murderers, and will never understand why sick people with guns take out the good guys.

Officer Timoshenko, rest in peace, sir; you will not be forgotten.

An angel in the sky must leave his place of rest,
gently tucking his wings beneath his armored vest.

For duty has called, there is much work to do.
Little did he know, this one is dressed in blue.

Arriving on the scene, he knows just what to say.
Follow me, fallen brother, I will show you the way.

Your duty has ended, your work is through.
Come hand your hat beside mine, I'm a cop, too.

RIP Brother, 4-ever in our hearts

Many people know verse 5:9 but all other the verses apply to all of the fallen officers and especially this brave NYPD Officer.

5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

To the parents of Officer Russel Timoshenko...please accept my most sincere condolences...I understand...I know your pain...I too have lost a wonderful young son...far too soon...and to a violent act...it is a parent's worst nightmare...a horrendous cross to carry...lean into it so that you can get through...carry him in your heart and memories always...and know that one day you all will be reunited again...I am so very sorry for the loss of your son.

I will keep you in my prayers and ask that God sends you all the graces and blessings needed as you cope with this tragic, overwhelming, untimely and devastating loss.

May God's perpetual light shine upon the soul of Officer
Russel Timoshenko, and may he rest in His eternal peace for having made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and serving his community.

With my deepest sympathy to all those whose lives he touched,

My deepest condolences to PO Timoshenko's family, friends and all of his colleagues at the 71st Precinct.

Rest easy in God's loving arms my brother. Every night you went out there to "do the job." It wasn't for the money, or the glory. You did it because you cared.

You left us too soon, and I can only rationalize this loss by believing that God has a more important plan for warriors like you.

As you patrol the heavens above, remember to watch over us.

Dear Officer Timoshenk & Family,
It really upsets me when a police officer loses his life in the line of duty, especially at the young age of 23 and for so little pay. May God bless your soul and guide your family through these turbulent times.

My deepest sympathy to the Timoshenko family and to the members of the 71st Pct. As we all know, this is a dangerous business; and we don't get the respect for doing this job, day after day. Whats next now? We prepare ourselves to say goodbye. We will cry and while crying, we will remember the good times, the funny moments and jokes we played with Russel. To the Timoshenko family, god bless you, and god bless Russel, he died protecting one of the toughest streets in New York. He died as a HERO!!!!

Pass peacefully into the Heavens P.O. Timoshenko. As we watch your ship leaving our shores, we are sad. But we continue on, knowing that as we stand and watch you leave, somewhere, in heaven, the other side of the shore is lined with your Brothers who have went on before you, anxiously awaiting your arrival. You will not be alone, you will be in the ranks of many a great cop. RIP, go easy.
