I didn't know you, I didn't even live in your state, but we lost an officer at the same time that you left the NYPD. Ofc. Timoshenko - While you are watching over your brothers in blue take the time to meet up with Koz from Grand Rapids, and have one for all of us. My thoughts and prayers go out to both your families. Know that you didn't die in vain and that your brothers will take over from here.

You were way to young to die but God has given you wings so you can fly to sit by his right arm so you will always be safe from harm. For the people you loved and the city you swore to protect, you paid the ultimate price, you gave your life. There is no greater sacrafice. You did your job and did it well, I just hope that your killers burn in hell. I know that may sound harsh to some, but justice must be done. New York, your streets are less safe for you as someone has killed a Man in Blue. I too have lost a family member to gunfire, he also was a Law Enforcement Officer. It still is tough 9 years later. Rest in peace Officer Timoshenko.

The Respect for Law Alliance, Inc., sends condolences to the parents of PO Timoshenko and to his comrades in the NYPD. It is always a tragedy when a law enforcement officer is murdered in the line of duty, it is all the more tragic when it happens in what was expected to be a routine traffic stop. May Officer Timoshenko's parents be comforted by the memory of their much beloved son with the knowledge that his loss followed the performance of his duty in the job he loved.

To Officer Russel Timoshenko's Family
As a parent of a fellow officer from your son's graduating class, my heart truly breaks for you. I remember so clearly the day we all proudly watched at Madison Square Garden our young men and women march in, newly trained and eager to begin their lives in law enforcement on the streets of NYC. May you find some peace and comfort in knowing we all grieve with you for your loss.
