Officer Timoshenko,
I want to thank you for your service, you will not soon be forgotten. I never met you, I have never even been to New York, but you were my brother and your loss to the law enforcement community has been felt. Rest now, we will continue the watch.

"A Part of America Died"
Somebody killed a policeman today,
and a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect,
will be buried with him at his side.

The suspect that shot him will stand up in court,
with counsel demanding his rights.
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids,
and spend many long, lonely nights.

The beat that he walked was a battle field too,
just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
to his name they will add a gold star.

Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
a cop put his life on the line.

Now his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
and he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call, of himself gave his all,
and a part of America died.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Timoshenko;

I just reviewed the video clippings of your son's funeral. Please accept my condolences for your "Baby's" Loss, thats what he looked like to me a young boy. Please know that I, know how you feel and what your going thru, having lost my soulmate Tpr. I Christopher S. Scales, on December 3rd 2002, leaving me with 3 children. I feel your pain, please know you have a friend in Jersey and if I can help you in any way please contact the webmaster of this page.

What a tribute to your son, it was beautiful, I know I had the same kind when my husband passed, I know right now you don't feel like talking or reading, but when you do, I hope you feel the strength of my reflection. Maybe you will want to contact me, I don't know why but I felt compelled to write you.

God Bless your family!!!
