Reflections for Police Officer Robert Anthony Kozminski

We miss you so much Bob.
Michael came home with an "All about me" book from school last week and in his December Happenings part of the book he writes,
"Something weird happened Christmas morning. My Aunt Mandie said if Bob is with us this Christmas we will see deer run across the yard, next thing you we saw 6 deer crossing our street. Bob was going to be my Uncle but he was shot and killed while he was working". Your death has forever changed us. We love you so much!!!

We love you Bobby & will never forget the sacrifice you made to keep our families safe. May your family now find peace with their memories of you. It takes a while but the heart will get lighter. I've kept memories of my brother alive for 19 years & each day I still think of him & remember the good times & know I will see him again!

Dear Officer Kozminski and Family,

We sat in front of your family at the Candlelight Service in Washington and heard their sobs as their hearts continue to break as your beautiful name was called. We know the unbelievable pain that is ahead for them as you are no longer here on earth, but your love will be forever with them, nothing can ever take that away. We are so sorry that this happened to you. We listened as your dad told how you stood your ground and were so brave he is so rightly proud of you even as his heart is broken, and I looked at your mom as the tears flowed and knew how she will always miss and ache for the beautiful son of her life.
We promise never to forget.

God gave my wife and I a great blessing today on the way home from DC, we were able to meet your beautiful daughter on the plane. While my heart was heavy to think that she is missing her dad, I held it inside and could only smile, as she is so full of life and such a sweetheart. Sir, I thank you for keeping your fellow officers safe, know that your daughter and family were around several officers on that flight, and we will always do whatever we can to help her and your family. God bless you, your family, department, and friends.

I went to Street Survival in April and they paid tribute to you Bobby. I couldn't help but to cry when I saw your picture flash up on the screen. Today, I see in the news, that there are 10 officers riding for your memory. I'm glad to see you are still being honored by all those whose lives were changed that sad day. RIP Brother and prayers to your family and GRPD family.
