Reflections for Police Officer Robert Anthony Kozminski

Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Golfing tomorrow in your memory. Help us out and give us a great day. Been kind of a crappy summer so far. It is an awesome golf outing, and is good to get together and see your family.

We miss you Koz, still think about you everyday and every shift.

It remember hearing about your tragic death, but it was not until a few days ago that I realized that we were classmates in the GRCC Academy. Your loss was not in vein! I have heard so many great stories about what a great man and police officer you had become. Rest in Peace my friend.

Hey Bobby, the new year is upon us and all I can think about is how lucky I am to be here. I keep wondering why you were taken and others are still here? Why is it always the good ones that are taken so so early? I can't believe it has been this long already, I wish I could see your smerk again. You probably already knew this but I had an accident 8-1-08 and was almost going to join you in heaven. For some reason, I was given another chance in this world and I feel you were a part of it. I can't explain it but I felt someone's presence with me when it happened even though I was alone. Will you please thank them for being there and helping me out of the window, I really needed that help and for that I am here today. Let Terry know that I love and miss him too, I felt both of you that day. I will not take your gift lightly and will make sure that I live my life to the fullest and stop living with regretts. It's been hard but I'm getting better at it. I love and miss you dearly. Thank you for being there when I needed it most.

It has taken much time and healing to get on here and realize that you were taken just a few short days after a dear friend of mine. And then to find out that it was the same kind of call that my friend had taken just shook me. I too work for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office and to your family please know that your husband, father, friend, brother will never be forgotten. I never realized how close this Blue Blooded family was until that day. You and your family are in my family's prayers. Thank you for doing a job that some could never do.
