I read this site often, and it makes me sad. But I say this to all members of LE, the fallen Officer's who have their page on here, are now watching over you. I take comfort in that. They continue to protect and serve. Their just doing it from a higher place. My heart goes out to the family of this and every Officer who has fallen in the line of duty. May the rest of you stay safe in all you do. No matter your town, county, or state, wherever your beat is, thank you for your service and bravery.

Officer Hardy was a respected Traffic Officer, a dedicated husband, a proud father and a true friend. Words alone cannot express the heart breaking sadness that I and my fellow Traffic officers are experiencing at this time. I can truly say that I am honored to have known Wes for the past five years. I have many heart felt memories of our time together. God bless you all for your loving thoughts.

Officer Hardy,
I didn't know you very well, but you always had a smile and a friendly wave whenever you would pass by me on US 75 on your way to work on your motorcycle. Sometimes its the small things that I think we will miss the most. Rest in peace brother. Our prayers are with you, your family, and your friends.

Saint Michael, heaven's glorious commissioner of police, who once so neatly and successfully cleared God's premisesof all its undesirables, look with kindly and professionaleyes on your earthly force.

Give us cool heads, stout hearts, and uncanny flair for investigation and wise judgment.

Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores, strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations.

You know, Saint Michael, from your own experiences with the devil, that the police officer's lot on earth is not always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration.

And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the throne of God as we have been to guard the city of all the people. Amen.
