Reflections for Police Officer Dayle Weston "Wes" Hardy

Ashlee,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of sorrow. Wes was a great man, and officer but above all a wonderful husband and father. He will be greatly missed by his family both professionally and personally. God has chosen a wonderful soul to protect heaven.

A HERO is...
One Who Never Hesitates To Tackle The Most Difficult Problems..

One Who Is Always By Your Side..

One Who Knows Right From Wrong..

One Who Acts With Pride..

A Hero Touches Every One Of Us,

Whether It Be Word Or Deed..

Always Tending To Those Who Find Themselves In Need..

When A Hero Leaves This Earth, Yes, It's Sad, But True..

All Too Many Times, The Hero Is Dressed In Blue.

Rest in Peace Motorman. You will not be forgotten.

Motor Officer Danny Johnson

I did a ride-along with Wes shortly before he joined the Motorcycle Unit, and his character and professionalism made him stand out above other officers. He was a role model for me to look up to, and this world is a sadder place for his loss.

My heart goes out to Wes's family and colleagues.

While I never had the pleasure of meeting Wes, I have heard from others that he was a fine Police Officer. It is a great loss to the city and the profession, my prayers are with the Hardy family.

I live near Legacy and Independence. I was outside working on the lawn when I saw the CareFlight helicopter headed to the hospital. Whenever I see that I pray for the person and his/her family because I know that seeing that helicopter means someone is in very serious condition.
I prayed that Jesus help the person and console the family.
I'm sorry to hear he passed away...but please know that during that time, (even though I did not know who it was in that helicopter)there was a prayer going up to heaven for him.

God Bless Wes, his family and the Plano Police during this difficult time.

As I read the reflections left for the officers, certain words have left an impact on me and how I view the lives of officers. I saw this posted for another officer but feel that it is appropriate for all. The only change from the original is the officers' name--Dear Lord, we are thankful for people like Officer Dayle "Wes" Hardy, and for those who put their lives on the line for us each and every day, for those who stretch out their arms and say, "You are my flock and I shall stay with you and keep you safe!"

Lord in Your footsteps and those of Officer Hardy and countless others, keep us ever mindful of those in need and never let us falter in lending a helping hand.

Precious Father, watch over our brothers and sisters who knowingly put their lives on the line to defend what is right and what is good, those who guard the thin blue line with steadfast dedication and determination.

Lord be with the family of Officer Hardy as they struggle with the loss of a loved one and help his fellow officers and the employees and citizens of Plano to find comfort in You and in each other.

Lord I pray these things knowing fully that You are the One who can heal all hearts and mend all wounds if we just let You into our lives. I pray that those who knew him and those who were touched by his life will feel the warmth of Your spirit as You touch their lives and I pray that they know the love that You have for them and for Officer Hardy.

Please accept the condolences from the Westworth Village Police Department, and may God bless you and keep you in the palm of His mighty hand!

Dispatcher- Westworth Village Police

God be with you,
