Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Joshua Everett Norris
Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

Well kiddo 8 years have past, allot good has happen, but Mrs Beth and I still know that it would have been whole allot better if you were still with us. The last time we celebrate the 4th was at Aunt Denise and Uncle Ron with Jess showing off her ring. That you had her drive your truck because you felt it was safer than her cavalier on the highway. Since then I tend to look pass the 4th since the 5th is to heartbreaking to remmeber. Kid you are the type of guy that fathers want their daughters to fall in love with. One's that treasure them as much as they do. You left us to early, but I know God had some special reason that he needed you for. Miss you kid

Deputy Norris,
With all the chaos that is going on in this world, I wanted to stop by your page and leave you another reflection. You will never be forgotten. I hope your family has held in strong. I heard the song "Hurt" by Johnny Cash the other day in a training video by the organization Below 100. What an amazing video... It's about officer safety and all the loved ones that took the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you again for your service.
Never forgotten.

Well son closing in on what would have been your 30th birthday and figure you met Eno at the gates last month. Still hard to believe out of the 6 of you boys that ran around the neighborhood three of you guys have been called home to the Lord. All three of you were good men and what us Dads that have daughters looked for in a son in-law. Well kiddo you will always have a place in this old man’s heart and missed every day.

Well Kiddo been awhile since wrote to you. Still in Beth’s and I hearts and day does not pass without us thinking about you. Keep a close eye on brothers and sisters in blue they are facing some big challenges of late. You have the media and political leaders painting them as the aggressor and their lack of support is making their job hard and if it could have been possible, even more dangerous. Those folks just need to visit yours and so many others to see the sacrifices those that wear the badge are will to pay for others. Do not believe any of those would rush to the call of help if they knew they may not return from it. Merry Christmas and Happy New years

Officer Norris will forever be remembered & respected as a true officer he was, in such a a short lived career. I am a fellow LEO and I want to take a moment to pay my respects to you.
My partner and I currently over see a youth law enforcement academy and want to let you know that we have dedicated a day to remember you. Many of the youths are passionate about wanting to pursue a career in law enforcement and strive to stay goal driven. We have dedicated a day to show them your video and show them an example of such a goal driven rookie officer. Watching you brings nothing but smiles to see how respected you were among veteran officers and how they took such a liking to you as we all did watching you!
God Bless you and may you be forever rest in peace in heaven.

I would like to take a second and honor Deputy Norris for his sacrifice, he was taken too soon. I remember watching his episode of Rookies for the first time, and I was pretty sad and upset to see what happened to him. I remember the story that the producers put at the end about how he had just gotten engaged, and they included the story that his FTO had said about that day. It was truly sad. I still have the episode saved and I watch it often. I aspire to be like you one day Josh. Rest In Peace.

My heart still goes out to your family Joshua. I was a rookie 911 dispatcher with almost a year under my belt when I got the alert of a fallen officer and saw it was the same age as me. I always take a moment of silence coming from a daughter of a fallen hero. I keep your memory alive by using you as a tool for awareness in training. Really wish family would of received justices by your suspect that called you to heaven.

What an amazing story. I followed this man's journey on Rookies, and saw his tremendous pursuit of the police career. I hate to see what happened to him. I hope and pray that the family and coworkers know God has a place for peace makers. He has served a nation proud.

Josh,
Those of us on JPSO remember you well. At JPCC you are still thought about. In my heart, I know that you are now a soldier in St. Michael's Army fighting the evils that are against God and as the last verse in a Police Officer prayer to St. Michael.
And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the throne of God as we have been to guard the city of all the people. Amen.
Josh, I know you are guarding the throne of God.

Josh, I didn't know you until I watched your first "rookies" show. At the end, when your FTO told about your death, it took my breath and broke my heart. I have thought about you every day since it was shown a several days ago. I hope I am just lucky enough to be the person that you were here on Earth... thank you Josh...for everything...

Gone too SOON!!!!
As I rewatched, (5x's), the "Rookies" episode of Deputy Josh Norris, I can not help but see the love his FTO had for him, even though he was his training officer.
Please, all who are believers, understand that God is in control and doesn't make mistakes. It can be hard to hear sometimes, but it is absolutly true.
Josh's main goal was to become a JPSO Deputy Sheriff, and he did just that. I saw God's glow on Josh's face and I could see the kindness of Josh's heart as I watched the show.
God has called Josh home and that is only done to "good" people when your work here is done!!!! Rest in Peace Dep. Joshua Norris......you were......Gone Too SOON!!!!!
