The family of this Patrolman want to thank ODMP and all the people who have posted on this page. Robert was a Scottish immigrant who arrived at age 8 with my Great Grandmother, his sister. They were both service oriented in careers, and I am so greatful for their example.

He was so young, he never married or had children, so from this offshoot of the Black family, Thank You.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 86th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
