My prayers are with the family, friends and co-workers of Officer Anderson. Thank you Officer Anderson for keeping the peace for 22 years! I did not know Officer Anderson, however we all realize how difficult it is to find people who are willing to dedicate their careers to law enforcement jobs. These are demanding jobs, where the hours are long, the pay is low and most citzens are thank-less. From my family to Office Anderson's family, we thank you for sharing this special man, who served us so well.

A Part Of America Died,

Somebody killed a policeman today,
And part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect,
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect that shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights.
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids,
And spend many long lonely nights.
The beat he walked was a battle field too
just as if he had gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
In your town or mine,
While we slept in comfort behind locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And stands at each new rookies' side.
He answered the call,of himself and gave his all,
And a part of America died.

Hopefully these meager words can help those who knew Officer Anderson through some rough and dark times. Why does life mean so little to some people???????? It boggles my mind to know people have little or no regard for other peoples lives.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL and we will keep you in our prayers

Once againg a hero has to pay the ultimate price to show just how far are society continues to fall by coddling the evil in society while failing to provide for and to allow those that have served so long to retire early enough to avoid being placed into these situations.

Rest in peace.

To the family, friends, and officers that knew CO Anderson, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

May God take you and keep you safe, may your family find peace in knowing that you sacrificed your life trying to protect the citizens. Your sacrifice is not in vein, may others realize the danger that all law enforcement officers face daily. May others learn from your death how to prevent this from every happening again. Rest In Peace.

This is a difficult time for all of us. My heart goes out to the family, including our family of corrections. We were told that Officer Anderson was a well liked man by inmates and fellow co-workers. In fact someone was told by inmates the day before how nice he always is to them. May we all be inspired by Officer Anderson's love for his work. Even though I didn't know him personally, I am deeply saddened by his tragic death. May we all be comforted.
