~He is Gone~

You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived...
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you cane open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
Or you can be full of the love you shared...
You can turn your back kon tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he is gone,
Oryou can cherish his memory and let it live on...
YOu ccan cry and close your mind be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what he would want - smile, open your eyes, love and let life go on.

Not many people stay in this profession as long as you, it is a hard job. Sadly you remind us how quickly things can go wrong and that we could be called at any time to pay the ultimate price to keep others safe. I know that God is holding your hand and the hands of your loved ones as they mourn your passing. We also mourn the loss of a dedicated officer that didn't hesitate to pay that price to try and save others from evil. God bless you and God bless your family and many friends who are suffering your loss.
