Reflections for Sergeant Justin Thompson
One night a police officer had a dream. The officer dreamed of walking along the beach with the lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from the officers life. For each scene the officer noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to the officer the other to the Lord. When the last scene appeared the officer looked back at the footprints and noticed many times along the path that there was only one set of footprints in the sand. The officer also noticed this happened during the lowest and saddest times in the officers life. This really bothered the officer who questioned the Lord: "Lord you said that once this officer decided to follow you, you would walk along with this officer all the way. But this officer noticed that during the most troublesome times in this officer's life, there is only one set of footprints. This officer does not understand why when this officer needed you most you would leave this officer." The Lord replied, "My child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." Rest in peace my brother " Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of GOD " I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Justin and the Lincoln county sheriff's dept. and the other officers that worked with Justin in his county , Now you patrol the street's of Gold Heaven's beat God's speed

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Cpl Thompson, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.
Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow
Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow
When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest
