Kelly was my FTO at Polk county. Though we both went through the reserve academy togather, I ended up going to another county for a while, when I returned Kelly was assigned as my FTO. Kelly was hard on me but he always was fair and a great friend. I can still see him smile and hear his laughter. Kelly was always on the move. He would call us up and ask about warrants, he sure was a warrant hound. He was always in a hurry to get the next bad guy, he was the only one who backed into the sally port so he could get out fast. We use to laugh about that. His loss has been hard on all of us at Polk County. Kelly will be missed greatly, please remember his wife and children in your prayors.

You are a true hero! Anyone who comes to the aid when a brother or sister officer needs them is a Hero in my book! Your untimely death is a reminder that our job is dangerous and it takes a special breed of person to do the job. You did your job admirably and now you can rest in peace. God Bless you, your family, and the Deputies of the Marion County Sheriff's Office. Rest in Peace Brother.

I am extremely sorry to read about the death of this officer. They are all part of my heart and prayers. I did not know this officer or his family but I know his wife's mother Debbie. She grew up near here and went to our church. I remember what a beautiful young woman she was. I want to tell Offier Fredinburg's family that I send my love and prayers to them. I lost my son Andrew to gunfire. I still miss him so much. To Offier Fredinburg's fellow officers I want to say thank you for the job you willingly do every day. You will be in prayers. You are loved. Please be safe and may my God give you peace for a grieving heart.

Kelly,
Words are not enough to express the pain and loss we feel. Our thoughts, hearts and prayers go out to your family. We are taking this minute by minute it seems and have been leaning on each other. You touched the lives of so many people and left us with so many great memories of a cop, a friend and a father. You always made briefing an event to remember.
You were dedicated to the job and had a passion and enthusiasm I admired. I don't think there was a warrant in the area you couldn't find.
Kelly, you are a hero. You were always there when we needed someone. There was no doubt who had my back when I needed it. I can still hear you on the radio responding. With Kelly enroute, we knew the other officer yelling for help would be alright.
You are deeply missed brother and you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace now. Your watch is over. We have it from here.
Until we meet again my friend.
