Kelly,

Were gonna miss you brother. You are a HERO! I remember the last call you and I were on together. You and I trying not to laugh (to hard anyway) you did better than me. We could always count on you when we needed help, no matter what it was, we didn't even have to ask we knew you were already rolling. I will never forget you brother

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Fredinburg's wife, children, family, friends and co-workers. I was married to Alabama State Trooper Brian Nichols EOW 2/17/2002 and I am now married to Washington County Deputy Sheriff Aaron Carpenter. All of your COPS family is here for you and hurting for you. We all became a family when our loved ones became police officers and now we have even a stronger bond when one of our family members go down. We are here for you to help you along this journey you now have joined with us. God bless you all.

First, my heart goes out to Deputy Fredinburg's family and to his extended law enforcement family. May God be a comfort to all during this time of sorrow!

Deputy Kelly James Fedinburg, as a law enforcement officer, was considered by God as His servant (BIBLE: Romans 13). I did not have the pleasure of meeting Deputy Fedinburg but from what I have learned he carried out his servant's roll very well. His passing will be a great loss to our community.

We didn't know eachother personally but I know your father Gary through my parents. My mother called me from Salem today to tell me of your passing. My parents are close friends of your parents and I was truly saddened to hear of your passing. I know that your father was very proud of you and the job you did. I could hear in my mother's voice the grief for her friends loss. I could also hear the worry in her voice for me. I pray for your two daughters and wife and hope they find peace. We tend to forget how much a price our family's pay for our service. All the hours we work with bad shifts and sometimes on holidays. We hope they don't have to go through what your family is going through. You have paid the ultimate sacrafice for service to your community. God Bless you brother and keep watch over all of us carrying on.
