My prayers go out to your wife, 2 children, family and friends. Also to your fellow brother and sister officers, and entire department, along with the citizens that you gave the ultimate sacrifice for in serving and protecting them.An officer is an officer 24/7, and you showed your true colors, and character that day, even while "off" duty, as an officer is never "off" duty."A Hero does not become a Hero by their death, but by how they lived their life."I know that the angels took you far up into the heavens above, where as God has you safely in his care, 10-4 forever more!God Bless!

What a beautiful smile. An officer is on call 24/7 and he died doing what he was trained to do: protect others.

"Policeman's Prayer"

When I start my tour of duty God,
Wherever crime may be,
as I walk the darkened streets alone,
Let me be close to thee.

Please give me understanding with both the young and old.
Let me listen with attention until their story's told.
Let me never make a judgment in a rash or callous way,
but let me hold my patience let each man have his say.

Lord if some dark and dreary night,
I must give my life,
Lord, with your everlasting love
protect my children and my wife.
