What a terrible tragedy! As he was trying to honor his freind and coworker, his life was taken. Lord, please comfort the family of this deputy. Also, Lord bless his coworkers as they grieve over this double tragedy. Thank you Father for Your presence in times like this. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

My thoughts and prayers are with your entire department, not to mention the families. As an Honor Guard member, I can't imagine a more ironic twist than to have an officer die in the line of duty while at a fellow officer's funeral. God bless you all.

I just read of this horrible tragedy that has struck your agency. May Brother Ramier rest in peace and may God comfort his family. May He also give guidance and understanding to those of his fellow workers who were already dealing with the loss of another brother when this tragedy struck. Know that they are once again walking together on the streets of heaven.

My deepest sympathies to both deputies' families, and the men and women of the St. Tammany Parish law enforcement community. How awful to experience one tragedy on top of another. I work in a semi-rural law enforcement community where all the cops knew each other well. Our kids play sports together. We care about one another. We've not had a line of duty death in years. I cannot imagine the heart ache y'all are experiencing, but know that my family and I are praying for you and your family.

Words cannot begin to express the sorrow I feel for the family and friends of both Corporal Ramier and Deputy Sheriff Mayo, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's office and the community for the tragic loss of two of their finest. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as well as for the recovery of the deputy that was injured in the accident. May these brave men rest in peace.
