Family, Friends & Fellow Officers Remember...

I retired last year from the CHP after 24 years. It pains me inside to see young officers on our department pay the ultimate price to do our job. In the case of Officer Dickey, I did not know him personally, but as a brother officer I know he had to have been a credit to our department. My heart goes out to he wife, child, and to the department I love that has lost a great man who was willing to be there to protect all of us.

On behalf of our family, we wish to extend our deepest condolences on the grievous loss you have suffered because of this tragic line of duty death.

Unconscience to conscience with leg injury led me to believe that you would survive and I prayed for you. It was not to be and for some reason known only to God He took you home.
