To the family of Deputy Mayo: My heart goes out to each of you as I know what you are feeling on these very sad days. I also know that words cannot express the sorrow, hurt, helplessness and just plain emptyness you are feeling but please know that there are people who care and who have walked in each of your shoes. Lean on them, your family and your law enforcement family in the days to come. You are in my heart and prayers.

To Deputy Mayo: Thank you for your years of service. Know your family will be held up and honored as we honor you. When you see my brother please tell him he is missed and loved dearly. May you and all of our fallen angels rest in peace.
