ive known you since i was six years old, and you always seemed like a big brother to me. you are a great role model, and an inspiration to young black men of many ages. its a shame that i have to talk to you through a memory, but it is better than not saying anything at all. i know you are up there looking down on all of your family and friends, and i pray that you continue to watch over us. i love you bro, and i hope to see you again one day. my prayers are continuously with you and your family.

My thoughts are with your parents during this very trying time. Keep watch over them, wrap your wings around them to protect them and help them with their grief. Continue to watch over those still on patrol guarding over the thin blue line. You will never be forgotten.

Ty was a dear friend of mine. We went to High School and played ball together. There was never a more rounded, well-liked guy like Ty. This news has hit me pretty hard. My prayers are with the Patterson family. Joe Sr, Vi, Joe Jr, Crystal, I hope you can find peace in this. Ty will be remembered as a wonderfully raised young man. I'll miss you Ty!

It's hard to believe a good man like Ty is gone. He went out of his way for people. He was proud of his job and worked hard to get it. He was a genuinely a nice all around guy. I never heard anyone say one thing bad about him. Ty will be deeply missed by many people whose lives he has touched.
God Bless
