Reflections for Game Warden Teyran Micah "Ty" Patterson
I DID KNOW THIS YOUNG MAN, BUT MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE FAMILY FOR I KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE TO LOSE A LOVE ONE. FOR HE WAS A VERY YOUNG MAN AND HE WAS DOING SOMETHING WITH HIS LIFE MORE THAN I CAN SAY FOR YOUNG MEN THESE DAYS. GOD WILL BLESS YOU IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE. ALL YOU GOT TO DO IS TO KEEP THE FAITH. AND HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST AND HE MAKES NO MISTAKES EVEN THOUGH WE DON'T THINK IT IS RIGHT. GOD BLESS YOU AND I KNOW THAT YOU LOVED HIM BUT GOD LOVE HIM MORE.

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with Game Warden Patterson's family, friends and co-workers. I was married to Alabama State Trooper Brian Nichols EOW 2/17/2002 and I am now married to Washington County Deputy Sheriff Aaron Carpenter. All of your COPS family is here for you and hurting for you. We all became a family when our loved ones became police officers and now we have even a stronger bond when one of our family members go down. We are here for you to help you along this journey you now have joined with us. God bless you all.

I have had Ty speak to several of my classes over the past two years and he really related to the students and the students really loved it when he came to speak. He was a true friend, he remembered the students and never failed to take the time to speak when he was out and around the area. He was so pleasant and down to earth.
Ty you will be missed. Rest in peace my friend.

Wow Ty, just one look at this site and it is simple to see that you were truly loved. You always had a kind word for everyone and a gorgeous smile. Thank you for all you've done. You can now protect Crystal, Joe and your parents as their guardian angels. We cry for you now, but you are in a beautiful place. Some day we'll all be together again. You are and will always be missed dearly.

To the Patterson family and all the Texas DFW wardens, our thoughts and prayers go out to you. Your small family has suffered enough this year with the loss of Justin Hurst and now Ty. Take some comfort that both are heros and many others share your loss

I went to school with Ty and we also worked at the Seguin High School Mini Mats daycare. My children also went to that daycare and Ty worked in the room with my (then) youngest son. To see this big athletic man turn into a teddy bear with those babies was heart warming to say the least. He always told me that my son would make a great football player.
Ty was not only a classmate, he was a genuine friend. After hearing of his death, I reflected back to an old school memory book and in his entry he wrote "raise them boys to be good men."....well one can only hope that they would have a son as respectful, caring, and admirable as Ty was.
My deepest sympathy goes to Ty's parents and siblings. I pray that God will wrap his arms around your family and help you through this tragedy.
