Today is valentine's day and I had to go visit you at the graveyard. That is sooo hard for me but I know you are not there. Love is an action. It is not just a feeling but a choice you make each day to love. I am so glad that you were my choice and I was yours. No relationship is perfect but never a day did I question your love for me. You love me unconditionally and that is rare! I am so thankful for the gift of true love! I could have all the materialistic items in the world but without love they mean nothing God has said it is the greatest gift. I may never experience that kind of love again but I am so blessed to have known it with you. Between now and then til I see you again I'll be loving you Love Me!!!

Hey Pookie! Not much is going on here except watching the snow fly! The kids have enjoyed there time off of school. They have been working in the barn, sledding, riding the 4-wheeler, and building snow men with their Uncle Boogie. I love to see them laugh and just be kids. I know they have had so much stress in their life and have had to grow up very quickly in a lot of ways. I want them to stay little for as long as possible. They are learning to be more responsible. I hope someday they will respect me as much as they do you. I thank God every day He gave us the girls. I know how proud you must be of them. Continue to shine down upon us. It seems impossible that I am still standing after 20 months of not having you by my side. I know God has granted me much wisdom and Faith and I owe every breath I take to Him. It seemed so much easier when you were here with all the answers. I never realized how much I relyed upon you for the answers to all the hard stuff in life. My Faith is stronger than it has ever been because at the end of the day sometimes I feel God is all I've got. Success to me means Joy, Laughter,Passion for life, true friends,watching my children grow, having a hand to hold, someone to grow old with, being able to lift someone up, a life that glorifies God. It has nothing to do with what car you drive, what house you live in, what job you have, how much money you make a year because at the end of the day if you have those and have no one to love and no one to lay beside you at night, and no one to laugh with, and no one to say your prayers with and no one to say "How was your day. I missed you today and I love you" you have nothing. We were never materialistic people. I think God taught us during our years in the Marine Corps about what really matters most at the end of the day. Dave, you and I grew up together. We taught each other how to love and be loved. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. I'm so blessed and thankful for the life we created together. It has made me a better person just to have been loved by you. Help me to remember that we don't have to have all the answers we just need to cling to the God that does!!!

Hey Pookie! Just wanted to let you know your brother has been a great help to me already. He is doing well. I know you would be proud of him and I hope me helping him out is what you would have expected of me. I took him to the river today. Well Dave Im having a hard time typing because of the tears! I have thought many times about writing on here and havent been able to. Today is different, I seen your brother today. It was great to see him. I know it is killing him inside that your gone. We all know he puts on a tough front, but you were the one he trusted loved and respected. Please shine down some of your love and strength for him,because we all know he is an awesome person and with you looking down on him, He also can make a difference here on earth. I promise my mom and i will never turn our backs on him and help him in everyway we can! If he gets me on a four wheeler and covers me with mud again I know you will be watching and laughing like you always did. Thank you for all you had done. Hey babe! We have been given a whole new year! The holidays are never the same. The Christmas spirit isn't the same. The girls are hanging in there. Today is a special day because I was able to bring your brother home today. We have some adjusting to do but I wish good things for Chase. I know how much you loved him and I will try my best to help give him a good start out in society. Our new Sheriff has taken office. I wish the best for him. Look over our guys. I know they miss you so much. I feel so great when they stop in to check on us. You had some great friends who will always love you. Your legacy still lives on just as strongly as it did 20 months ago. My basketball team is doing good. Mikayla is playing a lot of games. Faith made her first basket Saturday. She was so excited!!! I'm so sorry that I can't bring myself to write a reflection more often, you know how I hate to cry and this makes me...
I started working in Oak Hill again. It is different, but I still love it as I always have. I really miss being able to hear your voice on the radio and call you to check up on ya. I sometimes talk to Matt and somehow that helps...can't explain that one! I just wanted to say that I MISS YOU and am so glad to have the opportunity to have a friend like you. I have a few pictures that I took in the academy during graduation and stuff that I have been wanting to get to Michelle and the girls but am unsure how. I think I will ask Matt if I send them to him if he would take them to Michelle if he thinks it is ok. I could go on all night writing to you, there is so much to say, but I will save that for when I get to see ya. Until then...
