Thank you so much for your service to CBP but more importantly to the men and women in green of the Border Patrol. Seeing a chopper headed your way to help you work a group or a bailout is always such a relief to an Agent. Not only did you provide valuable support to the Agents you worked with on a daily basis, but you also provided a sense of security by making sure that the boots on the ground were safe. Thank you for that. We as an Agency have lost a valuable member. You will be missed but not forgotten. My condolences to the family of Agent Smith, his fellow pilots, and the Agents of El Paso Sector. God Speed Robert.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Agent Smith:
I was in the air, flying close to Heaven
When I heard someone call my name
Before I had time to answer
I realized it was no game
My time on Earth is over
My journey is complete
The doors just sprang open
I hear music, Oh so sweet!
Why, I'm surrounded by friends
I thought never again to see
Dear God, this is Heaven, I do believe!
My Brother,
As a member of the "Law Enforcement Family", I'm saddened to see you go. I have flown with many of you, and you are now flying above the clouds still protecting us. I want to thank you for everything you've done for us. You are missed but not forgotten. I know that you will still be there to watch over and protect your family.
GOD BLESS!
