Office Lee had a strong sense of duty to serve and protect and he served with honor and integrity. Lee was a wonderful person and a stellar police officer. Lee, I first came in contact with you when I lived in Walla Walla, Washingtion. You were interested in attending a rendevous we were putting on at the museum I was directing. Over the years we communicated and became Internet friends. You always had great advice, you were a good friend, and you will be missed. You gave the ultimate price through your service in the military and law enforcement. Your life has been to the service of others. My prayers, thoughts and blessings are with your wife and children. Sadly, our nation has lost another fine officer. My prayers are with the family, friends, and fellow officers of Sgt. Newbill. I understand the pain that is being felt by many, as I received the same call last week. It is such a heartfelt tragedy to have such a life taken so needlessly. You all are my guardian angels, my protectors. Rest in peace my friend, you have served our country well and you are now with two of our finest, Inv. Habelt and Deputy Ogburn. Tell them I miss them greatly.

My deepest condolences goes out to the friends and family of Sgt. Newbill and the Moscow Police Department.
