Just visited the National Police Officers Memorial in DC> Made it a point to do a rubbing of Paul's Name.
Paul took me on as a trainee when no one else would. HE was the only officer on the Department with enough of a reputation to help my carreer.
Spent the last 40 years in Criminal Justice training in Calfornia and Oregon.Worked as a trainer and a Community College Criminal Justice Instructor. Enjoyed great success in the field. Helped thousands of students, and changed police training to produce better service to officers and the community.
I Owe my entire career to Paul. Please if anyone reads this, let his family know how important Paul was in so many ways to so many people.
May God bless him as he blessed all who knew him.

Hi Paul,
I wanted to adise you that the retired Officers from South Lake Tahoe Police Department met at Topez Lake in Douglas County, Nevada for the 31st stright year in a row. I wanted to tell you that we spoke of you and how much you were a part of our lives when we were all very young Police Officers in South Lake Tahoe. We call ourselves the First Class Citizens Club as retired Police Officers we finally have some rights we know you would get a kick out of that. Most of us were working that day on Ski Run Blvd. when you were shot, if we wern't working we came in, it was a terrible day! I remember coming to Barton Hospital, after a long night, and speaking to you and you were doing fine. No one of us would dreamed that someone would shoot you again in your career, I get heartsick just thinking about it.
Anyway I wanted to advise you that you are very much in our hearts as we shared ours lives so many years ago.

Four years have past, but it seems like yesterday when we received word of your death. I still think about you and how you made Nita so very happy during the short time you were together. There's time I wish I could just sit down and talk with you and get your point of view on things. At times I just want to walk away from the business, but your memory keeps me going. Continue to enjoy your rest BROTHER and one day we'll meet again.

I miss you brother. You were the best FTO, Partner, and close friend. I think about you every day and the impact you had on my life will be shared with others as long as I'm alive. Not because of your untimely death but because of the many things you taught me in the short 7 years we worked together.

Paul we think of you often. Just recently had a quip from Bob about the time I made y'all a pot of "instant" coffee and y'all laughed at me so much. I miss our dinner group - even though it's been years. Just wanted you to know you are still very much missed and thought of.

Hi sweetheart,
It has now been 3 yrs since your untimely death. I went to the cementery on the 17th just to visit with you, even in silence. I miss you DEARLY. I wish you were here with me. I feel like I'm all alone. I hear from very few people anymore. I know they had to get on with their lives. It's just still so hard to realize you will never come walking back in the door or up the front sidewalk like you often did when you got home from work. I really hope you and Chris are catching up. I miss both of you dearly.
With ALL my love,
Your loving wife,
Nita

It is hard to believe that it has been almost 3 years since I last heard your voice. I miss our times together when you and Mom would drive to Colorado and visit me. I will never forget the tattoo trip we took to Glenwood Springs for my 29th birthday. That is something I will always remember. You wil always be an important piece of my life and I will never forget the times we shared and talks we use to have. I miss you dearly!!!

Hi babe,
Here it is a new year and it still seems like yesterday. I can't believe its been over 2 yrs. I miss you very much. I'm doing better, but still have my moments. Then having to deal with Chris made it hard this year. I can't believe he's gone. I know you are in a better place and doing good. Keep shining down on me and protecting me each and every day.
I love you lots.
Yours forever,
Nita (NMW)
