Dear Frank,
I am so sorry this happened. We were taking jabs at one another in roll call, then loading our squads. An hour and a half later, I could not believe what was coming across the radio. I'm so sorry we weren't there for you brother.
Thank you for encouraging me to come to the shift. Thank you for inviting me golfing. Thank you for loving your family so much, you never knew it, but I respected you so much for the little things you did. Thank you for asking about my kids so many times, it meant so much. You were so many good things, but I never told you that you were a good example.
God Bless you brother, Semper Fi and God Speed.

Frank, I hear you were an avid golfer....well, I know you are in a better place now and I hope the fairways are shorter, the greens are bigger and you never need to improve your lie. I never knew you, but maybe someday, we'll meet and I'd like to play 18 with you. Until then, we will continue the "relentless pursuit" down here for you, brother. Rest in peace, and thank you!
To Frank's wife and daughter, you gave the ultimate sacrifice, and my thoughts and prayers are eternally with you both.
