Your heroism and service is honored today, the 100th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

There were family stories about Orville being killed in the line of duty shortly after Edith and he were married, but I was never sure until I found this site. Edith died shortly after Orville from a broken heart my mother told me. I thank Orville for his dedication to law enforcement.
