From day one you showed you had what it takes to be an excellant officer and you always added humor to even the toughest nights. You and your family will always be in our hearts and minds. Luke trained at my station and since he was mostly on the midnight shift, and I work days, I didn't see him often. But when I did, I remember his gentle smile and humor. Being a civilian, I am not officially a part of the 'thin blue line', but like the officers at my department, my heart is breaking over Luke's death. He was very well liked in both our station and the 4th District. I pray for God's hand to be with his family, friends and co-workers as we grive his loss.
