To the family and friends of Agent Clinton B. Thrasher,
Grief and pain are the price we humans have to pay for the love and total commitment we have for another person. The more we love, the more we are hurt when we lose the object of our love. But if we are honest with ourselves, would we have it any other way? (C.S. Lewis)
More than any one else can ever know, I am sure you are experiencing this grief, and you wonder if life will ever be the same. The answer to this question is: No. But with the help of our gracious God you will be able to get through these difficult times. You will have your memories --- a gift from God to those who are left behind. However each day must be faced and routine things must be done, even when you wonder if you can find the strength to get out of bed. You will be able to live again if you always remember the words of St. Paul as he was writing to the Philippians "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and suplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." In plainer words --- let go and let God! He has promised that he will be with us and never allow us to be tested beyond that what we are able to bear, but will always provide a way of escape. You have just lost your husband, the father of your children and probably your best friend. Rely on your Savior to get you through these difficult days. I know I can't say "I know how you are feeling at this time", but I do know that all burdens are easier to bear with the help of Him who loved us so much that He gave His one and Only son to die, that we might be saved. When I think of all you have lost, it brings tears to my eyes for I know there will never be anything I can say to express the graditude I feel for Agent Thrasher. The work he has done and the ultimate sacriface he has made which allows me to enjoy the freedom which we all too often take for granted. I thank you, his wife for supporting him in his service to our country and may your family always know that his death was not in vain. May God give you strength to carry on and hope to see that the future will be better, because a man named Clinton B. Thrasher lived. "...
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint". Isaiah 40:31

Aloha Air Interdiction Agent Clinton B. Thrasher,
Thank you for your service and dedication to your community and your country. You and all officers that continue to lay your lives on the line and pay the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities and country safe, will NEVER be forgotten.
I personally pledge, (after one of Hawaii's own, Honolulu Police Officer Steve Favela, lost his life last year in the line of duty protecting our Commander in Chief, President George W. Bush), to become a continuum; a keeper of the ODMP light. That sacred light is in the form of an ODMP tribute. People from all walks of life, regardless of age, race, religion, profession, education, and geographical location can share here.
This "LIGHT" comes from within the heart and soul of every person who cares to share a word or two on behalf of each and every fallen officer. Every fallen officer is a hero. The ODMP; Officer Down Memorial Page gives us a place to come together and share our feelings as one family. May we find solace as we give solace to the families who have lost a loved one.
Air Interdiction Agent Clinton B. Thrasher, God Bless you. You are a hero. As we say in Hawaii, “You are`Ohana.” “You are Family.” No one will ever be able to replace you for you were unique and very special. No one; not in this lifetime. May God allow you to rest in His Divine peace. I wish you, your loved ones, and your fellow officers, peace and love beyond all understanding. I honor you today. You will NEVER be forgotten.
--"Your life is more important than you can imagine."-- Maya Angelou
** May this Hawaiian prayer give all those who read it comfort. **
THE PEACE OF " I "

Peace be with you, All My Peace,
O ka Maluhia no me oe, Ku'u Maluhia a pau loa,
The Peace that is " I ", the Peace that is "I am".

The Peace for always, now and forever and evermore.

Not the world's Peace, but, only My Peace,
The Peace of " I ".

Clint,
you were my friend. How could this happen? Life will not be the same. You were a man "of whom the world was not worthy" (Heb 11:38). We are a far poorer agency and nation without you. Our loss is incalculable.

The sacrifice.
When a portal opens to this worl, and evil rears its ugly head, The almighty God commands it closed. Thus, a sacrifice is made and all heaven rejoices: a Hero is born.
Those who live in the Lord never see each other for the last time.
My thoughts and prayers are with Agent Clinton's Family.

"Angels In Blue"
I had this friend you see, who loved
God, Country, You and me.
My friend went to work day or night
the peace to keep, so you and I could sleep.
He worked the holidays and weekends,
away from family and friends.
To keep this peace for you and me.
Each day this friend put his life on the line
to spare yours and mine.
Then one day he paid the price, he gave his life.
You've done well my friend, patrolling these earthly streets.
Now it's time to walk on Heaven's beat.
The next time you see a Police Officer or two,
remember they are one of God's Angels in Blue.
And God said; "Blessed are the Peace Makers."
