I went to bed April 23, 2007 praying for Sev's family, friends, and fellow officers and not unlike April 22, 2006, I received a call, awakening me, with news of "we lost another one of our guys". I cannot believe this has happened again. Rest in peace, Nick. Your job is with Sev, protecting your fellow brothers and sisters, from above.

Joseph, Your Daddy is one of the great ones of this country. His willingness to serve and protect is a reflection of why this country remains free. He will always be a part of you and he will always be close. Be strong and don't be afraid. You are a strong little man and I pray that you will grow stronger as your Daddy would want you to do. God bless this young man and his family always.Be encouraged that we will continue to pray for you, trust in Jesus. Romans 15:13

My heart goes out to your entre family, Nick. I have only just met you, and you were so nice and helpful with "the rookie". However, I have known your brother and just recently spoke with him, after several years. He spoke fondly of his 'little brother' who was on the South Bend Department. I know you and Sev are reunited now. He was with us at the vigil Monday night; did you see how calm the wind got shortly after 9:00 pm? He knew you were coming to see him, so he was here to meet you. God Speed friend. You and Sev watch over your Brothers. The rest of us will be here for your family. I know they will need all of the support they can get. Now we have another Blue Angel on God's Detail.
